I'll tell you one thing though, its been 2 full days since we have found out the name of Nintendo's new system; and I must say that I feel much better about this whole thing already.
It takes time people. I'm sure as more time passes we won't even care about this name that much. I just want to play the system and see for myself the Revolution that Nintendo has waiting for us.
Yeah thosse are awesome designs. And I really like that slogan, it just sounds right... BTW those are done by a guy called _SER_ who post at the ign boards...
That sounds good but I doubt Nintendo would say "Wii" twice in the same ad. I think "Wii Play" would be nice with the Nintendo logo underneath it. I just hope Nintendo does something along those lines. Its our job to help them out if they don't.
All they have to do about that is have a voice over saying "We Play" in their commercials. By then most people will know its pronounced "we" and not "why".
I think the only real error in any of the designs with the controller 'i's, is that (to me at least) it seems like the circle of the 'i' would be the 'A' button on the wiimote.

still don't like/understand/fathom the name of this system but you have shown a good logo.Logos make me happy, then I say the name aloud,laughter ensues.
Nice work. I must admit when I heard the news (I was away from my computer for the extended weekend) I laughed and thought someone was pulling my leg. Getting home it was one of hte first things I caught up on and thinking a hyped about rumor suddenly turned into utter shock. These wallpapers, my favorate being Wallpaper 7, helps solidify that nintando means business and that a silly little name like "Wii" isn't going to keep me from owning one a bit.
P.S.: In all respect this is from a guy who thought Xbox 360 is a cruddy name. Fanboyism?... yeah a little.

Instead of "Wii play", how about some play on a wise old saying: "Wii play, therefore Wii are".
Eh? That's something that everyone can relate to, right? It all fits in with the strategy.
GREAT logos - but i still HATE the name - sure they are shiny and have VERY clever designs - but overall - they still say "wii"

The thing about "Wii Play" is that you've already got people mispronouncing the name as "why." (don't ask me, doesn't make sense)

Thought that would be nifty on boxes and stuff as well for compatable titles as opposed to the boring old _____ Compatible 1-4 Players" line :)

I sent these logos to Nintendo via e-mail, here is part of their response:
"we do not accept unsolicited game or product ideas."
They then told me to submit my ideas or art to the Nintendo forums on their site.
Regardless of this, at least they saw them and you know they must have got some ideas from the ones that I sent.

1280x1024 would be nice... It's ok with the one with black bars though because I can just change the background colour to black.
