How could a developer ever let a game like this be released to the public??? The Wii is the leading SKU in all of video gaming and this is what gets released? A shame.
I'm still surprised at how much detailed and vibrant the levels look for a Wii game. If they would've gotten more time to fix the framerate, at least it would be bearable to try out.
I just got the game and beat the first level. I have to say the graphics on the Xbox 360 version isn't so great either. While it does have more detail and effects than the Wii version, the game just looks bland and mute from my first impression. I honestly couldn't tell the difference other than the chugging framerate and lame water effects. It's a shame Treyarch didn't honor the Call of Duty 4 engine's beauty. I don't know if the engine is already showing its age or Treyarch just doesn't have the muscles, that Infinity Ward has, to tackle the engine, but the graphics isn't something to get excited about. If that's the case, I wonder how Call of Duty: World at War will turn out.
Overall, the game isn't terrible as far as I can see. It's just a straight-forward first-person shooter. It may not have the graphical polish of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, but it does have the fast-paced shooting and frenetic immersion that made the fourth installment so great. I've only beat the first level and won't go further until after I see the movie so I don't get spoiled. I hope the movie will kick-ass even though it didn't receive as well as Casino Royale.
Another ps2 emulation on wii. Is that never end? Im sick on this where is nintendo seal o quality? Last I saw on LoZTP box. Levels have nice details only some shaders are rubbish, lighting is ok but the models and frame rate -terrible. Not a Wii game. PS2 plz die!
the fact the x360 version looks slightly better is nothing to do with power, all 3 versions are a license cash in, non of witch rep the true graphics of any of the 3 platforms anyone saying it looks good for wii needs a wii graphics lesson,, it looks like that rubbish die hard gamecube game to me terrable use of colour and weak geometry....
polygon count on bond looks like a ps2 game leon res evil 4 cube 10k ps2 5 k polygons bond looks 3k here
cheap cash in crap with the latest news proving activation actually make more profit from wii than ether ps3 and x360 only serves to make activation look more rubbish
Answer: Nintendo being more open to publishers and developers on what they can release could be a good reason. See Phoenix Games. See Data Design Interactive.
What's worse is that it's probably not the last time we see something like this.
ReplyDeleteWii ain't getting any respect...

Man !! Wii needs Dev of 'The Conduit' Calibre. These ugly ports shows how much enough they had placed on the Wii system. Wat a Shame!!
