I haven't actually played a real Dragon Quest game on any system (I played "Swords" on the Wii but it was not very interesting and not a real DQ game) so I can't really be all that excited from a gamer point of view. Now, from a business point of view I'm very very excited since Dragon Quest sells insanely in Japan and since this will be exclusive to the Wii you can bet that this locks the Wii as the # 1 system in Japan from here on out (it kinda already is though). Excited for this news guys?

great news but i hate turn based and utterly hate final fantasy and dragon quest so not for mii.......
if not turn based and all wiified then mmmmmm maybe turn based s too gay for me its like watching to gay guys slap each other in a flower shop its lame
Hehe, turn based isn't THAT bad...
If we get anything of similar quality to the PS2 DQs, then we're in for a real treat! Most of the main DQ games have been very well received so far.
Thank you Square-Enix for showing Nintendo some love again!

I too am not excited for this game. I have never been a fan of RPG games so this doesn't excite me as a gamer either. But like you said Metal, from a business standpoint this bodes well for Nintendo. Maybe this will get us some other sweet games from other companies that follow suit.
According to Famitsu; Nippon Ichi is developing Phantom Brave for Wii as well.

I pretty much called Dragon Quest X for Wii almost from the moment Dragon Quest IX was coming to DS. Now the real question is; what kind of DQ will we see? Regardless; I am pumped to see a real Dragon Quest title on Wii.
