Inconsistent textures, last-gen level design, and shitty A.I.
This is more like a PS2 game than a 360/PS3 game. Wait, it looks more like a first Playstation FPS game. I've seen more sophisticated and better looking games on the Playstation 2 than this.
I can't believe how much High Voltage Software lied to us. The Conduit looks like shit.
Just amazing. Finaly the Wii is geting the love from 3rd Parties that it needs to become the best console out there! All the hardcore gamers will be completely satisfied with this and other beautifull games that are coming this year!
Speaking of great games coming to the Wii, have you heard any news or rumors or at least a chance that Resident Evil 5 or a Resident evil game with a bumped uo RE 4 engine mitght come to the Wii?
I've heard that Capcom might still have some "anouncements" for the Wii coming this year, but not sure of what games could be.
Wow. These guys really worked hard. You can tell right away how much thought and effort went into the development of this game. All the options you can dream of are there. I was also surprized that they were able to squeeze in some nice AI on top of all that, and corpse gradual disintegration too!
I'm having doubts about the frame rate now... :)
Good work HVS! And thanks for keeping the hype alive MetalDave.
Nice to see that they improved the sound and the game does not look like a psone or a ps2. Glass Dominion is a idiot. One more thing MetalDave do you know when it comes out in the UK.
glass domination piss off chattin shit ps2 graphics since when has ps2 been able to make skin that real look at his hands then the whole game is way way above the ps2 some parts are better than 360
Why? Not only it has advanced graphics, but the sequel is using a whole new engine called the MT Framework, which Capcom specifically designed for platforms with multicore processors like the PC, 360, and PS3. Yeah, the game seems to use the Resident Evil 4 engine because of the animations and whatnot, but it's an entirely different beast altogether with only a few aspects ported from the RE4 engine.
The MT Framework has been used for Capcom's next-gen titles such as Dead Rising and Lost Planet. I am aware Dead Rising is also coming out for the Wii, but that's actually using the RE4 engine, not MT Framework. If Capcom is bringing Resident Evil 5 to the Wii, the most realistic solution would be to use the RE4 engine, and that doesn't sound too good because it is outdated and useless. But then again, RE4 never looked that great because it handles textures badly. Resident Evil 5 should never come to the Wii because it will be very unpolished and unstable. It would look terrible. Take a look at the Wii version of Dead Rising and you'll see why.
I can't beleive how awesome this game turned out, to hell with everything else this the game i've been waiting for and glass dominion your a retard with bad eyes “last gen level design” what's wrong with you nothing last gen could do something like this.
Freaking awesome customization options. And I'm glad they mentioned that the AI is capable of taking cover and stuff too. It wouldn't be very good if all the AI did was just stand there and get shot (unless they were on easy mode).
Lots of people want Resident Evil 5 on the wii. Not everyone can afford all the consoles.
Sure you did make a few good points such as the new engine and Resident evil 4 having bad textures but everyone knows it won't look the same. As for Dead Rising wii it does use the Resident Evil 4 engine but the game looks bad because no time or care has gone into it. If they did it would look better then Resident Evil 4 and look more like Dead Rising on the 360.
To make Resident Evil 5 wii look great Capcom would have to make a new engine or put more time in the in old engine then they did with Dead Rising wii.
Wow Glass Dominion; you are really shattering yourself with arguments like this. While I don't have a lot of faith in High Voltage; that's due to their past history of crappy games more than anything else. The Conduit is actually their really first decent effort from them even at this stage of completation. It actually looks like a half decent XBOX 360 game which is better than some. You are not even trying any more.
And it's so Larry Fararman of you too to change names like that just so you can post here.
I do agree with Dadaleous on Resident Evil 5 though; but not just because of the technology; but because Capcom execs value HD visual over gameplay now. The fact that they wanted Mega Man 9 to be a bloated 3D Game which the creators fought tooth and nail to not be personifies that. They didn't want Wii to succeed and now they are pissed off like a snobby elitest would now that Wii and DS are the top platforms in the game now.
Gah...

PLEASE CAPCOM GIVE US RE5 FOR THE WII!

ReplyDeleteThis customization of HUD is so great.
ReplyDeleteNo other console FPS game have it.
The game comes out in the States in the spring, so I'm sure The Conduit will come out in Summer in the UK.
ReplyDeleteGlass Dominion is probably the same guy that was spewing his hate toward the Wii before with a different name.
Again why care about the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 when Wii/PC will always be a better choice?
THE RETARDED SAID ""last gen level design"" GENERATIONS HAVE NOTHING TO WITH LEVEL DESIGN.....
ReplyDeleteI DOUBT ANY PS2 WOULD BE DOING ANYTHING SEEN THERE EVERYTHING YOU EXPECT ""THIS GEN"" IS THERE
GREAT LOOKS SOUND AND 3D MOUSE 3D MOTION GAMEPLAY
I HAVNT YET SEEN 1 SINGLE NEXT GEN FPS GAME ON ETHER PS3 OR X360
BASHING DREAMCAST LOOKALIKE PADS AND SNES COPY DUALSHOCKS
IS NOT REPEAT IS NOT NEXT GEN
Looks great to me. I'll buy it when it comes out.
