Call of Duty Modern Warfare: Reflex sells over half a million without TV ads

http://www.vgchartz.com/games/game.php?id=39017

If you follow the link above you will see that according to Vgchartz CODMWR has sold about 550,000 copies worldwide without the benefit of a TV ad. This is quite an accomplishment for the Wii since the whole "mature games can't sell on Wii" thing is a hot topic. They can and will sell, but the game needs to be GOOD first, and second it needs to not be an on-rails shooter.

and its !2 years old! SO NOW IMAGINE A ON TIME UP TO DATE COD POLISHED FOR Wii AND ADVERTISED

THE ANTI NINTENDO LIE IS EXPOSED YET AGAIN !!!!!!!!

CORE/MATURE TITLES SELL WHEN THERE GOOD GAMES ,,if this was mw2 like x360 and ps3 im sure it would easy outsell the ps3 version and do very very well if activition had bothered that would have put cod along side the nintendo games as huge sellers on wii

again the 3rd party's in fear of nintendo fail to get it in there heads that there supposed to make profit and support the lead format

its controls and feel are so much better than ps3 and x360 and graphically its fine but im betting wii can do more with a bigger budget

happy new year bloggers

Tell this to that SEGA guy (sorry don't remember his name) who recently made headlines everywhere for saying that there is the possibility that SEGA will stop trying to sell "Mature" games for the Wii because EA's Dead Space game failed to make an impact with Wii users.

His argument was that Dead Space was the "test" that would prove if there was an appetite for Mature games on the Wii. Since that game bombed in his eyes, his conclusion was that maybe SEGA was going to stop trying to sell Mature games on the Wii.

Mr. SEGA USA guy probably needs to understand that the gamers they're trying to sell their "Mature" games to don't want any more rail-shooters. Not only that, they don't want no more freakin' TESTS! No more damn tests. The Wii is like 4+ years old and we're still being tested? C'mon!

BTW, those numbers for MW:Reflex are pretty good considering there was zero advertising.

The reason why the Conduit sold less then expected is because it just was not a good game it was ok but not amazing. The level design was simple, the story was good but was not presented well. They could have done a lot of epic things with the story but chose to hide everything.

The reason why Madworld didn't sell well was because most people were put of by the black and white visuals.

Nintendo are publishing Monster Hunter Tri for Capcom in Europe.
Maybe there's a lesson here, put budget, resources and effort into your wii games and Nintendo will help you.
As fr Mr Sega guy, he's a clearly ignorent individual.
