It's hard to believe that the graphics shown are in real-time and looking as amazing as they are. It is a really short video but it does show the huge potential that the Wii U has in graphics.
Unsurprisingly, I'm seeing a barrage haters crawling out of the woodworks, complaining that this isn't the HD Zelda they are looking for. Really? This demo alone looks better than most of the 360/PS3 games I've seen on E3. How many games run 1080p natively and vibrantly like what we're seeing here? Not to mention the console being displayed are just prototypes; the hardware isn't finalized yet, and those third-party games we saw during Nintendo's press conference weren't even running on the hardware (they were running on the 360's). This E3 was about showcasing what Nintendo is planning for the console, like E3 2005 when they showed what the Wii (which was called Revolution at the time) looked like. Everything is subject to change.
I noticed a lot of haters at first as well, but after seeing a lot of hands-on experiences they seem (NeoGAF) to be eating their words. This demo alone looks better than most PC games on the market, never mind about 360/PS3.
Kinda off topic but it seems strange that almost all rumors about the wii u were true, and now recently it was confirmed in the developers round table that friend codes are out. Kinda gives me good vibes this time around, different to the wii.
