Resident Evil: Revelations - new trailer

Well it appears that the girl with the big boobs and strange hair dies early in the game. My question is why Capcom would go to all the trouble of rendering this character with a very distinct look and not go back to her later in the game? Maybe she is going to reappear in some form further into the game. The real-time graphics in the trailer look amazing for the 3DS.
