This has been up for discussion for a few months now, but when you think in-depth about it, the Wii U definitely needs the Gamepad to differentiate itself from the other consoles. Yes the Gamepad is actually a strength but also a weakness for the console due to the issue of developers not willing to spend more money making unique exclusives that use the controller to it's fullest potential and Nintendo itself not even using the Gamepad to it's fullest potential yet. Off TV play and some second screen functions are cool and the internet browser/YouTube are definitely the best on Wii U but there just needs to be more use of it in games. Nintendo needs to think of a way to show the mass market how the Gamepad makes games on the Wii U better and worth buying over the other consoles. So far the message has slowly started to get received but there is a lot more work to be done.

Wii U better without the Gamepad?
